LAB / CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality policy

Client results and records remain the client’s property. How the laboratory controls access, protects client information and handles the exceptions the law defines.

LAB / CONFIDENTIALITY

The policy, in sections

What the policy covers

01 / 03

Everything a client gives the lab and everything the lab produces for that client: samples, instrument identities, requests, results, reports and certificates.

The policy applies to all staff, and to anyone acting on behalf of the laboratory, for as long as the records exist.

How records are protected

02 / 03

Results and records are released to the client and to no one else. Access inside the lab is limited to the people who need it to do the work.

Client identities are not used in marketing, client lists are not published, and no result is discussed outside the engagement. Where the lab is required by law or by its accreditation body to release information, the client is informed of the release unless the law prohibits it.

Inside the QSI group

03 / 03

Nexus Labs is part of the QSI group, and the boundary is absolute: laboratory records are not shared with the certification side, and certification records are not shared with the lab.

The two businesses share a name and a standard of record-keeping. They do not share your data.
